Terms of use

Before launch: these terms must be reviewed by counsel and must name the operating entity, its jurisdiction and its governing law. The operational rules below accurately describe how the platform behaves; the legal framing around them does not yet.

1. What TradeDiscuss is

TradeDiscuss is a record-keeping service for trading predictions. It is not a broker, dealer, adviser or signal service. It does not execute trades, hold funds or receive commission on trading activity. Read the risk disclaimer before using it.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide a working email address. One person, one account — operating several accounts to influence any figure on the platform is grounds for permanent suspension of all of them. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

3. What happens to what you publish

This clause matters more than the rest, so it is stated first and plainly:

  • Published calls are permanent. They cannot be edited or deleted, including by you.
  • A call may be cancelled only while still waiting for its entry to trade. Once entered, the only exit is a graded one.
  • Your thesis, commentary, comments and the outcomes of your calls are public.
  • Deleting your account removes your credentials and contact details but does not remove your published record.

You keep ownership of what you write. You grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to display it on the platform, in feeds, in share images and in aggregate statistics — which is simply what the product does with it.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Operate multiple accounts to inflate a figure, a reaction count or a nomination.
  • Automate posting to manufacture a sample, or spray calls to game any statistic.
  • Publish content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, or infringes someone's rights.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
  • Scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for others, or evade rate limits.
  • Attempt to interfere with grading, or to submit calls priced against a stale feed.
  • Use the platform to promote a scheme you know to be fraudulent.

5. Moderation

We may mark a call invalid after review, which excludes it from statistics while keeping it visible with its history intact — the audit trail is never destroyed. We may shadow-flag an account showing abnormal patterns pending review, suspend an account for breach of these terms, or remove comments that violate section 4.

Every administrative action is written to an internal audit log, including who took it and when.

6. What we do not sell

Leaderboard position, ranking, favourable grading, removal of a losing call and verification labels are permanently not for sale. If this ever changes it will be announced on the about page before it takes effect.

7. Availability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of uninterrupted availability or of the accuracy or completeness of market data. Grading depends on third-party market data which may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Where our data has gaps inside an open session, calls are held for review rather than graded.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeDiscuss is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or from reliance on anything published on it. Traders publishing here are independent users, not our agents, and we do not endorse them.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site before taking effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.

10. Contact
