What TradeDiscuss actually verifies
Most platforms in this space use the word “verified” as decoration. Here it has exactly four meanings and no others, two of which are currently switched off across the entire site. This page exists so nobody has to guess which is which.
Timestamp recorded
automatic · live nowAutomatic and always true. The call was written to our database at the displayed instant, before its outcome existed. Its levels were frozen in the same transaction, and every subsequent state change is appended to an audit trail rather than overwriting anything.
Its limit: It proves when the prediction was made. It says nothing about whether the trader acted on it.
Outcome checked
automatic · live nowAutomatic on resolution. A worker walks the stored candle series from the entry instant and applies the published rules — target and stop ordering, the symmetric gap rule, breakeven arming, expiry handling. The venue, resolution and method version are recorded on the call and shown on its page.
Its limit: It proves the outcome follows from our data and our rules. It is a modelled fill: no slippage, no spread on the exit, no financing, no partial fills. A live position would do slightly worse, essentially always.
Identity verified
not offered yetOff for every account. No identity checks have been performed, so no account carries this label. When it exists it will mean a document-backed check was completed and the result recorded — nothing looser.
Its limit: Until then, a username is a username. Treat account names on this site as pseudonyms unless the label says otherwise.
Broker-connected
not offered yetOff for every account. This is the label that would let someone claim they actually traded a call, and it will only ever be granted by connecting a real brokerage account and independently reconciling activity against published calls.
Its limit: This is the single largest gap between what a track record here shows and what people often assume it shows. We would rather state that plainly than blur it.
Why not just call a winning call “verified”?
Because it would be false, and because the falsehood is precisely the one this product exists to fix. A trader can publish a technically flawless call, watch it resolve at +3R, and have risked nothing at all. The prediction is verified. The trade is not — there may not have been one.
Every share card that leaves this site therefore carries the words “modeled outcome”, the grading method, and the trader's sample size and window. A win cannot be shared without the context that makes it interpretable. That is a deliberate cost: it makes our share cards less exciting than a screenshot, and more useful than one.
What comes next
Identity verification and broker connection are both on the roadmap, in that order. Neither will ship as a self-declared checkbox. When they arrive, each will have its own page describing exactly what was checked, by whom, and what the check does not cover — the same treatment the two live labels get here.
In the meantime, the honest summary is this: TradeDiscuss can prove what someone said and when they said it, and it can tell you what happened afterwards under rules you can read in full. It cannot yet prove who they are or what they did with their own money.
